Yeah, maybe for about a day, a week, a month or so.
You think you are so hot, but your a candle that burns out at the tiniest air flow.
You think people don't know what's behind your sweet, sweet words?
Everyone knows.
There's not a scratch left from you.
No, not the slightest ache or pain.
When I think of you, I laugh and smile.
I've discovered all your games.
The heartbreak I thought you caused, it was like a surgery I had once, a long, long time ago.
It hurt so bad, it cut so deep, but within six weeks where pain once ruled, only joy and happiness surrounded me.
And just like that surgery, any pain has made me stronger, better, wiser.
I know truth when I see it now, not lies like the ones you parade, a fancy pony dancing for spectators.
But wait, no, I see it now, that's no pony, but a prancing donkey braying at us all.
And again I laugh, and again I smile.
